Have I miscarried?

My husband and I have recently started TTC after losing our DD at full term several months ago. By last Sunday my period (which is normally very regular) was 12 days late and I was just beginning to let myself hope that we may be pregnant again. We had decided to finally do a test on the Monday - that morning though I began to experience light cramping and bleeding. For the next few days I passed clots and lots of stringy blood and just generally had the feeling that this was not like a normal period.

I still didn't want to do a test at this stage as I think I would rather just believe it was a late period rather than an early miscarriage. One week on from the bleeding though I am now experiencing fatigue and nausea. Had a small glimmer of hope that I may be pregnant after all but research on the internet suggests probably not. Just wondered if any of you ladies out there have experienced anything similar?

first of all im very sorry for your loss. no words can replace your sadness for the loss of your daughter.
in this case you would want to test just in case pregnancy is viable. Bleeding may be a sign of miscarriage but not all are.
if test are negative, it may be better for you to let go since it my be an early miscarriage or delayed period due to stress etc, where blood clots are normal in that case.
if u r worried, pls ask your gp for advice and he/she might be able to help u out.
have lots of rest n dont stress yourself out too much ..
