When will I test negative?

Hi All,

I’m just looking for a little advice, or shared experience from anyone willing.

So, im going on the assumption I have had a MC. Around 5w 4d in started to bleed heavily, (TMI TO FOLLOW) it last around 7 days, heavy for around 2 of those days, moderate the rest, I passed a couple of clots too, that I assume were indicators of MC… i’m in the limbo stage, where no medical professional will see me and only advice ive been given was I’ve to test in 3 weeks for a likely negative.

My questions are; How long did you it take for you to get a negative HPT? And has anyone experienced what can only be described as a bruised feeling uterus?

I tested 2 days ago and strong line and today, strong line again. I know I need to wait the three weeks, but it’s torture being in limbo. And reading other threads some people are saying my can take longer than 3 weeks.

thanks in advance for anyone willing to share! X

I was still testing strong positive at 5.5 weeks, at which point I stopped testing, as it was a pregnancy after fertility treatment so was just too upsetting.

So sorry for your loss Flowers

Sorry for your loss too!

Were you testing strong positive 5.5 weeks post MC???

it is very upsetting, but I just need some closure i think! As with early pregnancy the health service just leave you to it

Hello, so sorry for your loss.

How long is it since you had your MC? I am just over 2 weeks post MVA (surgical removal) and still getting tests as positive as the test line. But I don’t think that is normal, and suspect I will be back at the EPU next week being scanned for retained products. I had read other ladies accounts and it seems most people’s tests do start to fade from the point of 2 weeks, but sadly mine don’t appear to be doing that!

I had positive tests for 8 weeks after my MMC. As awful as it is, sometimes the HCG just takes a long time to reduce. I'm very sorry for your loss.
