Miscarriage?

Hi

Went to the EPU for cramping and brown blood today

They did a scan and my pregnancy is measuring around 5 and a half weeks - they can see gestational sac and yolk sac but no embryo yet

However I am actually 6 weeks 3 days pregnant. I am 100% sure on my dates as I was tracking my ovulation, I physically felt the ovulation pain and also I got a positive pregnancy test at 9DPO so there's physically no way I could be almost a week earlier than I am

They're rescanning me in a couple of weeks time but I think it's pretty certain the pregnancy isn't viable? Has anyone been in this situation before where you're 100% sure on your dates?

Sorry you’re dealing with this stress, I appreciate your worry as I’ve recently found out I’m pregnant and have had brown blood followed by brown cm, have a scan end of next week as this is following 2 mc so anxiety is in overdrive! What I would say though is, don’t count yourself out yet, it’s such early days and so many people I know have a first scan to find it doesn’t quite match their dates but all ends well. I hope the next couple of weeks fly by for you, try to keep as busy as possible and take care of yourself, I have my fingers crossed for you x

Update, I was right and I was miscarrying

I started bleeding very heavily on Wednesday all through to yesterday where I passed a very large clot

EPU won't scan me until Friday to check it's all over but I did a test and it's almost negative now

Hoping it's all over. Feeling very down though 😢

I'm really sorry.😔 I had a miscarriage on Monday. It was similar - I was scanned 4 weeks ago and the measurements didn't match the dates. I knew when I ovulated, which is never late, and I knew when I tested positive, so I knew that it probably wouldn't end well.
