Light period following MMC?

My first period after mife/miso for a MMC in December is SUPER light (although has gone on a week already now - I'd usually only be 4 days). Has anyone else experienced this? I expected a really heavy one, especially since it took me a while to test negative and a scan showed a thicker lining had remained (no other RPOC). The EPU said it can take a while for things to level out and everything sounded OK - I just want this remaining lining to resolve now so we can move forward.

It's been almost 7 weeks since my miscarriage and I've had light spotting this week. I thought was my period but it can't be as it's hardly anything mainly when I wipe. So just like you I am clueless too and I would just like a period now so I know its all cleared. Sorry I don't have any advice just know your not alone and I'm sending my love ❤️

@Motherofthreewildboys what a lovely reply, thank you, sending love to you as well. I ended up with a full week of barely there spotting and now have a normal flow, so hopefully yours will also catch up! It's not pleasant but good to be moving forward, physically at least.

No problem at all. I think this is the only time we ever want a period to arrive quickly 😅 Yes it's not a pleasant situation to be in at all but just want to know things are fine afterwards and so on. It will help with the healing I think. I'm glad it's arrived for you now. Bittersweet as they say. Hopefully I will get mine soon 🥰

Hello,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also experienced a MMC last September.

Just wanted to share my experience with you in case it helps. I found that my 1st period post MC was quite light and short - however the second was more like what I'd been expecting! It was a lot heavier and more painful, but nothing too worrying.

Just to share that it might the next one that takes it up a notch, and that that's normal too.

I hope brighter days are ahead for you both. x

Thank you for your experience @MissKittyFantastico84, that's good to know. I ended up having 7 days of a very light period then it kicked into a normal period for 4 days and seems to have stopped. Hopefully my next one will be slightly less drawn out! Wishing brighter days to you too 💛
