Hi all,

Sadly, I've had a MC at 5w 5d. This was my first pregnancy, so first time experiencing any of this.

I am looking to speak to anyone who has been through this, firstly just to connect with someone who knows how it feels and secondly to heart different peoples experiences.

My uterus feels bruised, is the best way I can describe it. Like when I cough or roll over it feels like a punch in the stomach.

Its been around 1 week since the heavy bleeding started, I've been told by my local EPU to ride it out and then take a test in 3 weeks. So that’s why probable miscarriage, however im not holding out any hope.

Ive been to the docs etc however he wasn’t particularly knowledgeable and said I should be seen by the EPU who aren’t interested. So i’m relying on Dr Google basically, which is contrary at best.

Has anyone had this kind of pain, if so how long did it last? How long did your bleeding last? I know that varies, but just looking for different experiences.

thanks in advance x

So sorry to hear that. Are you able to rest/take time off work?

I went through similar and the bleeding lasted almost a week. It was heavy for 4-5 days. Like a normal for me period plus two days.

I don't remember it being painful.

Take care.

@SapphicScot
I just had a chemical last week. I was around 5 weeks my tests were positive and as I tested through week 4-5 they turned stark white😢. Then I had a couple days bleeding not as much as I thought I'd get though. I did have painful 'tense' feeling in my lower abdomen felt like I couldn't eat was gassy feeling. It's passing now. It's horrible isn't it. I just tried to sit a lot under a blanket eating chocolate taking it easy on myself while I recover. It's sad but I'm proud of my body for sorting itself out. (I had blighted ovum last year that was hell) I didn't go epu drs or anything just to be told my pregnancy had gone, thought it would just make me feel worse.

Hi thanks for your reply.

yeah i’ve had to take time off of work as it’s really quite painful, which I wasn’t anticipating.

Hopefully my bleeding should be finished soon then.
