Chemical Pregnancy

Hi, I’m after some advice please if possible??
I found out I was pregnant 1/12/24 but unfortunately I went through what I feel is a chemical pregnancy as we lost on 5/12/24. Negative pregnancy tests followed but went on to find out I was pregnant again 29/12/24 to only loose again 5/1/25,which I feel is a further chemical pregnancy. I have now booked into the GP for 14/1/25 but I’m really worried as to what to ask for etc as I don’t want to be in other words fobbed off? I was going to request an ultrasound scan + bloods in order to ensure everybody is as it should be ? Do you feel this is reasonable after 2 losses or? I don’t know what’s best to do or say on the matter. Very confused? Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated.

So sorry for your losses. My first thought was how do those dates fit with your periods? I am fortunate in that I never experienced a chemical pregnancy, but from speaking to my friends who unfortunately did, they found the doctors to be rather insensitive if the loss fell at the time the period was due (as in, you shouldn't test before you are late, so you're only aware of this issue because you tested too soon - wait for your period to be late because before then, losses are very common and are of no concern). I am obviously not condoning that response in any way whatsoever, but just highlighting it to help you prepare for the appointment

I had one last week. Yesterday the GP did an internal exam, checked my urine and did another pregnancy test to confirm everything was “as it should be”.

I felt very well looked after. But I found the information online for chemical pregnancies very dismissive.

Thanks for your responses, the first time when I tested on the 1/12/24 I don’t know when my period was due as I had a bleed after coming off the pill 18/10/24 and nothing from then and only did a test as my mum kept dreaming I was pregnant and begged me to do a test I had no incline or idea to think I was! The digital clear blue was only on 1-2 weeks so it was very early. The second time around I did test early period was due the Friday and tested the Sunday before. I do feel exactly what you’ve said is what they will say and this is why I’m worried I’m going to be turned back around, I really do know I’m not the only one and it happens everyday to so many women , but I just want to check everything over for my own piece of mind as I can’t think to receive another positive test for it to end a week later , I know I should wait till due date of period to test but in a sense I am glad I know rather than not it’s a pro and con situation isn’t it.

To the last response, I’m sorry for your loss sounds like we both went through it at around about the same time and I agree it’s almost as though they aren’t thought of which is wrong. I never thought about an internal examination? I’m glad your appointment went well , did they mention sending for bloods or anything like that?
