Hi all, my partner is just over 6 weeks pregnant, she has had some fresh blood spotting and some cramps for the past 2 days. Does this mean a definite miscarriage? She is really worried and deflated and i am looking to get sone reassurance that this could be normal and alternatively also see if this the main signs of a miscarriage and any further signs that this is the case. Thnk you

Hi OP,
So its not necessarily normal but very common that women experience some bleeding in pregnancy, specially early pregnancy. Lots of women have some form of bleeding and go on to have healthy babies.
Look out for any heavy bleeding and clots. (Usally a sign of MC but not always)
Would be good to call your local EPU as they could do a scan. But with it being early in the pregnancy there isn't much to see
Wishing you both the best xx

I’m going though the same thing although I do think in currently having a MC! I received a 1-2 week positive test on Weds morning (yesterday), light pink spotting on Weds night, woke up Thursday with heavy bleeding and clotting. Been told to go for a blood test as it’s too early for a scan. Wishing your partner lots of luck!! Xx
