Still testing positive a month on.

I lost my daughter nearly a month ago at almost 18 weeks. I have been doing easy at home early and boots early tests for 3 days to check for a negative test and they have all come back faintly positive. They don’t seem to be getting any lighter (or darker) over the three days. Has anybody experienced this where the tests will linger faint positive beyond a few weeks. I’m assuming is because they’re sensitive tests.

I had really dark positives still at 6 weeks when I mc at 9 weeks pregnant, I stopped testing at that point as it was an IVF pregnancy and too upsetting to continue.
I’m sorry for your loss Flowers

@JadeL7 I’m so sorry for your loss, I hope you’re doing ok.

I was testing positive a month after my third miscarriage, but once my period came it went back to negative.

I lost mine at 8 weeks, so a bit earlier than yours, and the EPU told me to call them if it was still positive after 3 weeks. I went into the hospital, they made me do a test and then told me it was negative and there was nothing to be done (even though I could still see a faint line on the ones at home).

Maybe it’s worth speaking to your GP or hospital? Hopefully you’ll have a better experience than I did. I think it’s usually caused by residual pregnancy tissue

So sorry for your loss Flowers

I was told by my EPU after my miscarriage to contact them if tests still positive after 3 weeks... so would be worth speaking to doc for referral, for perhaps a scan to see what's going on?

Have you had a period yet?
