Im currently 8 weeks pregnant and started bleeding 3 days ago. Nothing too heavy but experiencing camping aswell. This morning i woke up and had some small clots. I went to A&E who couldnt really do much for me except refer me to EPU who might ring me tomorrow. I've booked a private scan for tomorrow evening as this was the earliest i could get.
I thought the bleeding was coming to a stop but i suddenly felt like a gush and some clots came out.
I know i will need to wait to see on the scan but wondering if anyone else had experienced similar and everything turned out okay? Or am i to expect the worst. So scared and worried

I don't have in depth knowledge but wanted to say I'm sorry you are experiencing this. Please rest and put your feet up as much as possible. I had minor spotting with my second - he's 17 now so don't give up hope. Thinking of you xx

You’ll only truly know with a scan.
cramps and gush are what I’d expect for a miscarriage.

That doesn’t look like minor spotting though. I’d be preparing for the worst. Not that you really can - be kind to yourself.

I can only go with what came out of me when I MC and that piece looks like what I had. With that amount of blood and that piece I would prepare for the worst but hope for the best. Good luck! 🤞🏼

I’m really sorry, it’s so stressful. You just can’t know. My best friend had significant bleeding and clots and they couldn’t work out where it has come from — she’s now 20 weeks. I had a missed miscarriage with no bleeding at all.

I've bled on all 4 of my pregnancies. My 4th unfortunately was a miscarriage. It happened about 2 weeks ago now. I'm hoping it's not the outcome for you but this is what my 4th was like. I just want to send some love and strength. Fingers crossed its not a miscarriage and just a bit of a random bleed 🥰🤞

standononefoot · 22/12/2024 20:22

I bled in all five of my pregnancies. Two were miscarriages and three resulted in healthy full term babies.

I'm sorry you are going through this. It's incredibly hard.

Rest a lot, take care of yourself.

My daughter had lots of gushes and clots at 9 wks - she had (full term) twins.

Wishing you well.

Winnie1311 · 22/12/2024 20:34

Thank you! This gives me some hope xx

Did she also have cramps too? Glad your daughter was okay! Xx

Very sorry to hear that! I hope you are doing okay.
Thanks for your kind words, just a waiting game for now but trying to hold onto some hope x

I had bleeding like this in my early pregnancy (about 6 weeks) and a second bleed with similar clots at 17 weeks, and went on to have a healthy baby girl. It could just be a Subchronic haematoa (essentially a bruise).

I can't guarantee it, but I had the exact same thing happen. In fact I bled quite badly the first time that it leaked through my clothes, and I convinced myself it was a miscarriage. I didn't even go to the doctor for 2 weeks as I just thought it was a miscarriage. It was a mistake and I spent 2 weeks wallowing and crying over something that hadn't happened. I would advise for early scans to only go private if it's medical but private don't use the high street early scans as they won't be able to help if there is something wrong and will refer you to the EPU.

I hope that you have the same experience and wish you luck. However if it is bad news I am so sorry.

Yes - she thought she was miscarrying, she'd had a miscarriage three months before. She rang me in tears saying that 'it's happening again mum'.

I rushed over to her's to look after my granddaughter whilst her husband took her to the EPU.
