Sorry you're experiencing this Sad so worrying isn't it.

I've always been told fresh red and clots is a bad sign... but similarly I've seen positive stories with people having this and pregnancy has been fine.

Have you called again then to say about this bleeding and clots? I'm surprised they won't see you for 2 weeks!

I had this and it was a miscarriage. It was at six weeks. If you're soaking through a pad per hour then go to A&E in case it's a haemorrhage. If it's less than that then I'm afraid all you can do is wait for the next scan. They wouldn’t scan me either because there's no point of you're miscarrying that early; they can't do anything for you. Also, if it’s a miscarriage, they’d scan you two weeks later to check if the tissue was clear anyway. A scan on the 23rd is about right given your situation.

I'm sorry to be so negative but false hope would be worse. I'm so sorry you're going though this. The important thing right now is to take physical care of yourself. If the bleeding gets really bad then go to A&E. Take time off from work if you need (it's pregnancy related sickness). Rest up and put yourself first until that scan.

Thank you girls! I have rang again as I’m quite worried with how bad the bleedings getting and they are going to see me tomorrow, however I’ve done a clear blue and is now saying 2-3 whereas it was 3+ before so I think I know what’s going on.

I am so sorry that your hCG is going down. Same happened to me. Was 7000 on Tuesday and 4600 on Wednesday (I happened to have a blood test the day before the miscarriage and I had one the day of the miscarriage because I was in A&E for blood loss). It could be worth asking for an hCG blood test when they see you tomorrow and then they can repeat it a few days later.

I know that even though it's early, you will have bonded with that little embryo. Take all the time you need to grieve. Over the next few weeks, your health is so important. Advocate for scans to check you're expelling things as you should as well as blood tests to check your hCG is falling as it should. If the bleeding gets heavy enough to soak through a pad per hour, get straight to A&E. This applies even after the initial blood loss. You should be fine but stay vigilant. My experience has made me passionate about women's gynaecological health; stay safe xx

Thank you that means the world to me! I had an ectopic pregnancy and lost one of my tubes so i have been very anxious as I found out very early. I am distraught I never thought I would react like this but I just can’t keep myself together! I asked yesterday when I had my scan if they could do blood tests just to check and they wouldn’t because of the growth on the scan.

Sounds like you did everything you possibly could for the pregnancy including attending scans and asking for blood tests. Hopefully that will be some comfort to you eventually. I can see why they wouldn't have tested your blood if the growth was fine.

It is perfectly natural to be distraught. You're going through a lot of people's worst nightmare. Do you have someone to look after you over the coming days?
