GW: Early miscarriage or just a clot?

Sorry for the graphic image: I’ve passed a few clots like this and i’m not due on for another 4 days… could this be an early misscarriage?

That seems like a lot to pass if it was an early pregnancy, I'd make a doctors appointment

I would definitely go to the doctor especially if it's not usual for you to start period so early, ie it's more likely to be an early miscarriage. They'll be able to do a blood test which is more sensitive to HCG so can detect pregnancy earlier (as I understand it) and tell which is which. That's a bigger clot than I'd expect on the first day of a period for sure.
