Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has any stories about when they got a clear negative test after a miscarriage?

bit of a back story - I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks on 29th October (so just over 3 weeks ago) and was told to take a pregnancy test around 3 weeks, I did one a few days ago and was very clear negative couldn’t even see a shadow. Then I done one this morning and one this afternoon and can see a faint line? Had this happened to anyone else? Thank you (picture attached)

When did you get a negative test after a loss?

Hello! Thank you ever so much that’s kind. Yes the test was negative in the end - think this one must of been a shadow or evap line!

Brilliant! Like we didn't go through enough already!! I'm 13 days after surgery and my tests are still positive so hoping in a weeks time that will have changed. Glad everything worked out for you x

I'm worried this is happening to me, too Sad
Tested negative several times after mmc 3 weeks ago, and did a test this morning with a faint line...... why is everything so hard and confusing!
Hope you're ok and you get your actual positive soon.

@CustardCream31 it's so confusing! My test was very faint this morning but still positive 🥴 No point ringing EPU until Thursday if it's still positive. It's stressing me out so much now. What treatment did you have for your Mmc? X

Sorry for not replying sooner.
How are you doing now? Flowers

I had medical. Was pretty straightforward in the grand scheme of things, but so traumatic.

Around 5 weeks after my 4th miscarriage, but needed medication for retained tissue

BabyBorn · 20/12/2024 13:06

Hi @CustardCream31 my test is still showing positive!! Got news the other day, results came back from the pregnancy tissue they removed during the operation and it was a partial molar pregnancy 😩😩😩 I didn't know anything about them. Now need my HCG monitoring until it completely comes down. How are you? Are your tests negative now? X

Hiya, oh gosh.... what an emotional rollercoaster for you. I'm so sorry. So is it just a waiting game now? Really hoping it resolves soon for you...

Well I had tested negative after the MMC 3 weeks later... then had a couple of positive tests (pretty sure I ovulated) but clearly was unlucky with evaps or a chemical or something because aunt flow is here with a vengeance now! Fingers crossed for this cycle....

BabyBorn · 20/12/2024 19:38

@CustardCream31 ah right, I misunderstood what you first explained! Sorry you didn't get your positive! Hopefully you will have more luck next cycle. Hopefully Xmas and New Year will help you forget about it all for a bit and relax!
