Does this sound like miscarriage?

I went to the epu in my local hospital today for a scan due to bleeding red blood when I wipe. The midwife said that she could see two sacs one with a potential pregnancy measuring 6+1 weeks when I am supposed to be 7+5. There was no heartbeat. The midwife said the scan wasn’t very clear so couldn’t say for sure if there was a pocket of blood or not. I’m due to go back next Thursday when I am 9 weeks (or 7+5 weeks according to ultrasound) since my scan ( it was transvaginal) I’ve been bleeding slightly more darker blood but it goes from dark to light red to barely any back to being dark so it’s not consistent.

Unfortunately yes it does, but a lot will depend on how confident you are on your dates. Did you time your ovulation? Measuring 11 days behind with bleeding is pretty concerning - I wouldn't be expecting a good outcome, but it really does depend how accurate the dates are.

No heartbeat at 6+1 isn't a concern and many women bleed in early pregnancy.
