HCG dropping

I need some help pleaseee.

have been under EPU had bloods, originally 47 then again 3 days later at 118 said this was a good increase and to come back a week later for internal scan. Had a few little pains nothing major and then anxiety got the better of me and I did another digital test and my weeks had gone down. I panicked and went to EPU and they did my bloods again and they had gone down to 102…. They said it’s 3 options, miscarriage, ectopic or everything is fine and it’s just gone down to rise again. I’ve got to go back on Friday for a scan and more bloods. Has anyone had this happen to them and go on to rise and have a healthy pregnancy? I think I know the outcome but trying to hold onto some hope ! Thank you

Hi OP, I'm so sorry you're in this position. I'm not sure why they gave you the third option. Outside of rare situations with vanishing twin, hcg doesn't go down and come up again.

Also, your initial rise isn't great. Whilst it's well within the 72 hour doubling, in healthy pregnancies hcg will usually rise faster this early on. It obviously can be fine, but it's further evidence that this isn't a viable pregnancy. As you said, you know the outcome.
