Very faint positive after 3 weeks

I had a MMC with medical management exactly 3 weeks ago. I was told to test today. Still a very very faint line present (you have to really look but it's there). Not sure how long it takes to go? I also haven't ovulated yet so it's making me anxious. I want to TTC asap without waiting for my period. Time isn't on my side 😕

I had a scan 2 weeks ago and my womb was empty

If it's really really faint that would indicate there's hardly any HCG left, so what about doing more tests, perhaps every other day first thing in the morning, and then you'll see it fading until it's totally gone? Get some cheap ones off Amazon.

If you haven't ovulated you are still in with a chance. Just DTD every other day as you normally would until you've confirmed ovulation?

Amazing. I was worried I had missed the boat somehow with TTC. Better start dancing tonight then!!!

HCG can be slow to drop @WasitacatisaW and depending on how far along you were will likely have an impact on the length of time it will take to drop below the HPT detection threshold.

Going by your VFL on the most recent test, you are probably days away from getting a completely negative test. Your new cycle will only begin once the HCG is out of your system. In view of that, you could be 10 -14 days away from ovulating.

Thank you so much for your input, that's really helpful information. As you said, the line is getting fainter by the day which is really reassuring for me.

It took nearly 8 weeks for my tests to go negative after my D&C for my MMC. I was still testing very faintly positive after my first bleed, though that turned out to be intermittent bleeding and not a full period.

I got pregnant first time after my first period between 8-9 weeks after the surgery. It's frustrating having to wait when you're so ready to try again, but your body will let you know when you're ready. Good luck.
