Periods after a MMC.

Hi , I had MMC at the end of august with surgical management. I bled very lightly for around 10 days.

I had a period around 6 weeks after which was pretty normal for me 1 really heavy day and then light.

I am now on my 2nd period and I am so heavy. I have never had a period like this in my life. I am soaking through tampons and pads and passing lots of very dark coloured tissue. Is this normal ??? I have never suffered with heavy periods so I am hoping nothing is wrong xxxx

Hi @Joleyjojo so sorry to hear about your MMC. Yes I have experienced the same thing. I had a MMC in July and 3 periods since all of which have been extremely heavy for the first 48 hours - I have to use a tampon and pad together. It's horrible.

its awful. I have never suffered with periods like this. I was panicking something was wrong but didn’t want to sound crazy as it’s just a period. Your right though it is horrible x

I also had the same - not too much bleeding after the surgery but then had two extremely heavy periods, to the point I was worried to leave the house. I mentioned it to The hospital but they just said miscarriage/the procedure can cause periods to be quite unsettled. Hope you’re ok xx
