hi guys - just looking to see if anyone’s been through something similar.

7+6 weeks pregnant today - yesterday morning had some very light blood streaks in discharge when I wiped, spoke to midwife and they’ve booked me in for an early scan on Thursday 31st. All fine for the rest of the day so thought much better, come the evening and I’ve gone to the toilet because I could feel my underwear was wet and was soaked through with blood, wiped and a lot of dark red blood. Called up the epu as advised to if bleeding got worse and they’ve advised me that it’s likely to be a miscarriage and is easily manageable at home with paracetamol and a hot water bottle? I’m cramping a lot too (feels like a really painful period)
I’ve still got my scan booked for Thursday so I guess I’ll find out then. But has anyone else had heavy bleeding and cramps?

im aware of the likely hood just trying to stay positive. thank you in advance x

Hi @kdmummyx haven’t had the complete same, but didn’t want to leave your post unanswered. I had slight streaks of blood when I wiped two wks ago, went to EPU following morning after having some cramps too, I was 9+6. Unfortunately for me baby’s heartbeat wasn’t found after being seen previously so was booked in for an MVA for miscarriage management.
I really hope you have better news as from what I’ve heard, people have had blood during pregnancy and been fine, with yours being dark and the cramping it sounds similar to what I had a few days after my bad news.

If you are in a lot of pain then maybe go to your EPU and get checked out to ease your mind and maybe get some more advice xx

Just to update this thread in case anyone comes across it with similar symptoms but was confirmed today that I’ve had a complete miscarriage. If you have bleeding please get it checked no matter how small 🩷
