6 weeks pregnant - is this a miscarriage?

Had a scan at the epu on Friday after 2/3 weeks of light spotting bleeding. Last few days been heavier with small clots. EPU confirmed pregnancy and heartbeat and location. Could this be a miscarriage?

I've never had a mc but unfortunately I would assume it is after spotting for weeks then a clot that size..I'm really sorry and hope it isn't. Please contact epu tomorrow for further advice
