Miscarriage or eptopic

I was over 7 weeks pregnant when I began bleeding and cramping on sunday like a heavy period. With some small clots. Went to the EPU and they confirmed the loss. However they've taken my Hcg which was up over 4000 so it needs to be repeated, they havnt ruled out an ectopic even tho iv had a transvaginal scan so my question is how will I know and how long will it take to find out? Im back tomorrow for hcg check and in 2 weeks for another scan. I don't have major pain now at all and bleeding is minimal but i didn't feel any major gush or sac or clots yet so I'm worried it's an ectopic? Anyone had experience similar to this? And the outcome?

Hi OP, so sorry you are going through this, your second lot of bloods will give more indication. I had consisent bleeding and small clots with my ectopic. My hcg levels were very low though and was monitoted for 2 weeks, first scan at 5w they saw nothing at 7w they confirmed ectopic in my right tube. By this point I had shoulder tip pain, dizziness and felt generally unwell x
