Cycles after miscarriage have been all over!

Hi everyone 🤍 first time poster here! Just reaching out for a bit of support.

Anyone else had a miscarriage and feel like it just completely threw everything off? My cycles have been all over the place since! I’m desperate to conceive again and despite having regular sex it just doesn’t seem to be happening 😢 I can’t help but feel like something has gone wrong with my hormones somewhere? Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Never had trouble conceiving before… my daughter (now 2 💖) was conceived second cycle of trying, and my second baby (which ended in miscarriage 💔) was conceived first cycle of trying.

Since the miscarriage I have had…
-29 day cycle
-22 day cycle
-22 day cycle
-31 day cycle
-26 day cycle
-29 day cycle

…and still no BFP. Every month it gets harder. I’m so desperate for my rainbow baby 🌈🤍

I hear so many stories of people who conceived straight after miscarriage and can’t help but wonder why that hasn’t happened to me. Wonder how long is ‘normal’ to have no success before I visit the GP.

Please be kind. I’m finding things very hard 🤍

Hi so sorry to hear of your loss. Mine were regular 26_28 day since my first d&c march 23 could pinpoint ovulation hormone check was normal but still didnt fall pg for a year and half unfortunately ended in mmc last week. Yes some woman get lucky and fall quickly after but i honestly think our bodies allow it once it's ready again stay positive and tey not to focus on ttc got me it happens once i found peace that it wasn't happening each time. Goodluck

Hello ❤️ so sorry for your loss.

I'm exactly the same as you - I had a MC in July, since then my cycles have been quite unpredictable. I've been tracking LH and that's very unpredictable too. Prior to this I conceived quickly both times (DC1 And MC).

I'm hoping that some people just take a while to regulate - I went private for a once over and I was told to wait at least 3 months to try so things can stabilise a bit whereas NHS said try after 1 month.

Did you have any intervention with your MC? Mine happened naturally so I didn't have medical or surgical management. I wonder if this has any bearing on how long things take to reset?

Wishing you the best of luck and big hugs - it's horrible and I feel your pain.

Hi Lovely, sorry for your loss! I also had an early MC that ended up with a D&C last January. While my partner and I decided we would wait until June to start trying again, I like you assumed / hoped it would be as easy as we found it (falling pregnant first cycle of TTC) last time. I have always had irregular cycle lengths varying from 32 - 49 days and we had been TTC our rainbow baby for 3 months when I felt like maybe my hormones weren't balanced so I decided to start taking pregnacare before conception. There are some reviews (and it even says on the box) that it can in some cases lengthen your cycle but I felt mine were already long so I had nothing to lose 😂
Best thing I ever did because that first month of taking pregnacare, my cycle reduced to a "textbook" 28 day cycle (which has never happened before) and we conceived! Could be a coincidence but it worked for me and I got my BFP last week.
It's hard not to over analyse your cycle when you track ovulation, bbt, time DTD what you consider perfectly and it doesn't work but it will happen for you 🌈 wishing you all the luck! X
