Hello all. I am new to this forum. I was pregnant with my first and had missed miscarriage last friday at 7 weeks. I had naturally passed most of the tissue and last monday got surgical management done. I did not have any pain or bleeding but last 2 days Ive been having severe trapped wind kind of pain in lower abdomen and rectal area. Doctor gave me buscopan and laxatives which improved the pain little but by night Im having sharp pains and pressure coming in waves . I do have occasional spikes in temperature and chills but not high fever. Can anyone suggest anything regarding this please? I dont have heavy bleeding now but Its been traumatic as it is and the pain just makes it so difficult not just physically but mentally as well.

I'm sorry you're going through this @AR00 I had a MMC in July and surgery at the end of July. I don't have answers only to say I also had cramps, bloating and constipation afterwards for about 10 days. I took laxatives at home and eventually it resolved. I had the sharp pains you describe too. I found some old threads on MN that spoke about an anecdotal connection between retroverted uteri and this type of pain. I found out during my pregnancy I have a retroverted uterus so i thought that could be it. I also had morphine and fentanyl in hospital and that can cause constipation. If you're worried definitely ring your GP though.
Hoping you feel better soon xx
