Period after MC

I had a miscarriage almost 6 weeks ago and I still haven’t had my period. How long should I leave it before speaking to my GP/EPU?

We have been trying in this time, we didn’t want to wait until after I had my period. I’ve been having cramps for a week and early pregnancy symptoms but getting negative tests 😖. It’s been 3 weeks post what I thought was my ovulation.

Finding this part really hard as I just don’t know where I am in my cycle

Had you had a follow up scan before trying again?

Hello. Sorry for your loss. I’ve had four MCs and each time it took around 4-5 weeks for my period to return, from memory. NHS guidance says 4-8 weeks though so I wouldn’t be too worried although I know how frustrating it can be waiting to get back to normal.

It’s so frustrating. I didn’t really realise how much it would affect me. Sorry to hear about your losses :(

Hiya, no the hospital didn’t say I needed one. I had the procedure to remove everything. They said ideally wait for your period before trying again but that’s only so it’s easier to date the pregnancy. I didn’t want to wait
