Hi mumsnet, I wanted to write this because I’m feeling so lonely and scared right now. 😔This is my first baby and I was over the moon when we found out. At around 5-6 weeks I started to bleed and I’d say it was a sort of period bleed. I had about one hour of back pain the second day it started, but no pain at all since. I bled for about 10 days but had no cramps or pain and it stopped in the night. This morning I wiped and there was a large clot which to me and my partner looked like a small foetus. I rang the hospital and I’m booked for a scan tomorrow morning but the midwife says she suspects it is a misscarige but I’ll have to wait until the scan. I’m heartbroken. I still have some hope but it doesn’t look great. Has anyone else been through this? No pain and still miscarried? Xxx

Hey, I’m really sorry to hear this. How did you get on with your scan?
I’m 6 weeks pregnant today and yesterday I had a bleed whilst doing the shopping. I’ve had period cramps for about a week now. Overnight I’ve had light bleeds and blood when I wipe. This morning I passed a very small clot which didn’t resemble anything. 111 weren’t helpful, my doctors aren’t interested and I’m at a loss with what to do. I’ve been non stop crying.

I was actually pregnant last year and didn’t find out until 9 weeks. We definitely weren’t ready so we did have a termination. During that pregnancy though I had a big bleed and really really bad pain. As I didn’t know I was pregnant I just thought it was a bad period. So I know that you can have a big bleed and lots of pain, and not miscarry. Xx

I've had two previous miscarriages, one painful one not at all.
I've also had two pregnancies, one I bled lightly in, one I bled and passed clots in with no pain.
Currently 7 weeks pregnant and just started bleeding lightly, so going to have to wait and see what happens with this one.
How did you get on?

I went for my scan and they confirmed a pregnancy but no heartbeat. They said that was normal for 6+2. They booked me back in 10 days later for another ultrasound. I had that last week and they confirmed a heartbeat and a growth spurt. I was so shocked as I thought it had gone the other way. I am still bleeding to date but no more cramping. The bleed is dark brown as well so it’s old blood.
The nurse re-dated me and said it was probably late conception so today I am estimated 7+4 with terrible all day sickness, nausea and loads of other symptoms. I am extremely grateful but am very anxious for my next scan which feels like a lifetime away. I am considering having a private one to put my mind at ease. My first midwife appointment is on 23rd October.

its reassuring to know other women have bled throughout their pregnancies.

That is such good news! I'm so pleased for you. Waiting for the next scans are the hardest, but your belly should start getting bigger soon, that helps!

How are you getting on? Are you booked for an early scan? X

Unfortunately not, I don't think it's a thing in this country for early scans. Going to wait until I'm in the uk and maybe get a private scan.
Had a few more days of spotting, but also testing positive still so clinging on to that and hoping the bleeding doesn't progress!
