I hope you are getting the support you need from your family, friends and the hospital.

We called our daughter Hope what did you call your little ones - I guess they were twins?

It is very tough but things do get better I promise. Although I know you can't imagine that yet. You learn to live with it and the bad days go from all the time to less. Have you joined the SANDS forum - they have a little section for late miscarriage.

Do you know why it happened.

In my case I didn't feel the baby move for a day or two and went in to the hosptial to be checked only to find she had died.

The post mortem found no reason.

tye · 19/04/2008 10:37

no i dont no why it happend. for 4days before i was in hospital due to bleeding. i was scanned less than 20 hours before and they said the babys were very happy and healthy and moving around then around 12 hours later my waters went and it all happend from ther then i was taken to theatre to have my placenta manually removed. not really sure what maually removed means as they put me to sleep and didnt really explain anything afterwards.

I had a very small bleed 4 days before and 3 days before I heard the heartbeat at the hospital. They saud all was fine.

It just seems so unfair doesn't it?

So sorry to hear of your losses tye & cece.

I lost a little boy at 20 weeks. 6 yrs ago. I had to have surgery to remove my baby and was told to avoid sex for 6 weeks.

Did your doctor not give you any advise? If there is no medical reason then it's down to when you feel ready.

I hope our angels are all playing together.
