When will I get a negative test result?

I’m 6 days into miscarrying for the 2nd time. I’m still getting a very strong positive pregnancy test result. When am I likely to get negative? I was 7/8 weeks pregnant when miscarriage began.

last time, I had a negative result within about 5 days but was only 5/6 weeks. I’m worrying a little about things like retained tissue as we are due to take the kids on holiday next week.

Sorry to hear you’re going through this, hope you’re doing ok. The general advice is to test in 3 weeks and if it’s still positive give the EPU a call, at that point they may do bloods or a scan to check for retained tissue. Sometimes it can just take a while for levels to get back to zero. Take care 💞
