Hello, I'm currently going through a miscarriage at 6w and wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I'm bleeding like a heavy period with small clots and minimal pain, it's been all day now but doesn't seem to be ramping up. I had another miscarriage before my son was born and it was really painful, fast and intense. This slow bleed isn't what I was expecting at all and I'm not really sure if this is it or if it'll get worse. Any advice would be appreciated

Hi so sorry to hear you're experiencing this again. As far as im aware everyone every pregnancy is different in terms of pain and bleed level.
May i ask how you found out you were miscarrying was it a sudden bleed

Hey @GunesM thank you! So how I knew was the line on the pregnancy tests weren't getting darker, my symptoms weren't getting any worse and just gut feeling. I started very lightly spotting a few days before and a small mucus discharge and now I've been properly bleeding since yesterday morning. So it's been a slow progression but I think the pregnancy tests were the biggest indication for me x

Hello dear, i'm sorry to hear that. Every MC is different pain wise. A friend of mise has usually period pain, and poor thing miscarried she didn't feel any pain, she was about 5/6 weeks. she then went to see the doctor when the bleeding stopped to check if there is some tissu residu.
wishing you a well recovery both physically and mentally.

sorry for your loss, when I had my first mc at 6+1, I was bleeding lightly for 5/6 days over christmas. Started on Christmas Eve and then by 29th of December I had a major bleed with clots and then went to EPAU and found out the pregnancy hadn’t fully passed naturally as I’d have thought with the size of the clot so would have to have medication to pass the pregnancy.
but because my midwife was nowhere to be seen after my booking appointment I didn’t know any different, and I just thought it was something that happened to everyone. Of course after 3 miscarriages I know exactly what to look for.

the EPAU probably think I’m an absolute nightmare because a spot of blood I’m at the doctors and then at EPAU and the doctors always try and play it down as it’s just a spontaneous bleed and I have to explain I’ve been through it before and know what I’m looking for and they send me reluctantly to EPAU.

just to say my MC’s have all started the same way
6+1 - bit of pain on passing - medicated
5+5 - no pain - medicated
6+2 - intense pain - no medication all natural

if it’s still not come on go to your EPAU and go for a scan.
