I am 7 weeks with no3. I have had painful period pains for several hours now and have noticed a lot of yellowy discharge (sorry TMI).

The pains are like crampy period pains.

Anyone any ideas??

At about six weeks with no.2 I had similar - had NO idea I was pg - was on holiday on Greek island and had just had a miscarriage a couple of months earlier. Thought it was period pains, had no painkillers, had a strong double tequila instead...

When I miscarried earlier, my doctor was lovely. advice was to try relax, put feet up, do as little as possible. Not because it would make any difference, but so that if I lost the baby (and I did) there would be as little as possible to blame myself for - no regrets, no wishing I had done things differently.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I really hope it isn't a miscarriage. If it is, there's not a lot you can do, and it isn't your fault. But see a doctor as soon as you can.

tobe honest the discahrge sounds like you have a UTI, go to doctors.
and period cramps are quite common in early pregnancy too.

Yellowy discharge can be normal in early pregnancy. Unless you are actually bleeding, I would assume things are okay. Also cramps at this point are very common. Remember your body may be still thinking it's period time because your hormone levels aren't high enough yet. Go see your GP tomorrow and ask for a referral to an early pregnancy unit for a scan. That way you know whether or not you have anything to worry about. But please do try not to worry - if you are going to miscarry there is nothing you can do (or have done) which will have made a difference. Good luck.

How are you Flumpybumpy?

The pain is still coming and going and the preg symptoms have not come back. I am seeing the GP soon so will let you know how you get on
