Prof. Shehata or Dr. Rai’s experiences?

Hi there,
unfortunately this is my 3rd miscarriage in a raw in a year. Absolutely horrible season and I feel is time for me to start a private journey for further investigations. I was referred to recurrent miscarriage clinic after my2nd loss and NHS hasn’t found anything wrong with all the tests. They put me also on progesterone but clearly didn’t work.
I read a lot about Dr. Raj Rai and Prof. Shehata. Don’t know where to go…Any advice or good stories? Thank you and sending rainbow wishes to all of you! 🌈 💓

I only have experience of dr shehata - he’s wonderful and his team. I have my
son because of him. The clinic was fairly convenient to us in Epsom.
it is very expensive so just be prepared for that.

@JandL2020 thank you! Yes..I think I had a glimpse of the fees…
how did he test you for the NK cells? Was it a regular blood test? Xx

@Rainbowchaser87 yes was multiple blood tests but all done on the same day after initial consultation in London Harley street. I managed to get basic bloods done with GP rather than pay for it all with them eg vit d etc. x

Hello, I just gave birth to a baby boy on Dr Shehata's complex protocol - success first cycle trying. Was treated for secondary infertility caused by high nk cells, in turn likely caused by Covid or triggered by the birth of my daughter. Would recommend CRP clinic x

Rainbowchaser87 · 16/09/2024 20:53

@fleur89 congratulations for ur baby boy 🩵 thanks for your message! Can’t wait to see him! 🙏🏽 love to ur little bundle of joy 🩵

@fleur89 if you don’t mind me asking…did u also have a hysterectomy? I also have a daughter born 2021 (covid time) and I believe something has changed in my body since then. Did he test NK cells by blood test? Xx

@Rainbowchaser87 I had 3 miscarriages and then saw Raj Rai at St Mary's Hospital - also Etienne Horner. Both were great and very kind. I then had my son, followed by 2 more miscarriages and then my daughter. Would highly recommend both of them.

Rainbowchaser87 · 16/09/2024 21:36

@Tweeti thank you! I am happy 4 u as u had ur very loved babies.🩵🩷

Had three miscarriages afted ivf then had my baby daughter under Raj Rai him having found some blood clotting genes. I hope you get some answers and get your baby x

Hi ladies, just wondering if Dr Raj has a PA. I have had a look online but can’t find this information. I really want to try and work out what the cost of all necessary blood tests might be. I can see the consultation costs but I really don’t want to leap until I know. Equally I believe he has a Harley Street practice which would be easier for me than Saint Mary’s, Paddington not thinking he must have an assistant who looks after his diary?

Rainbowchaser87 · 01/10/2024 17:50

@Carportforme I have been previously in touch with his secretary. I will message you her email address.

I also meant to say that I am glad you are happy with Dr Sh hata. I am going to try Raj Rai, as I dont think I can afford Shehata and i have the problem that i am a teacher and nowhere near Epsom so i am not just going to be able to take time off easily.

Rainbowchaser87 · 19/10/2024 22:08

@Carportforme wishing you all the best ❤️🙏🏽 we will come to the other side 🌈 ❤️

Oh yes we will, I would have said with the grace of God but, to be blunt, I have lost all faith today x

Hi all, been told about Dr Shehata and looking into his care. I have been referred by NHS but could be an 8 month wait to be seen. I have an 18 month old but had two back to back miscarriages this year. Fell pregnant first try with my son but seems like something has changed now and the pregnancies aren’t sticking. Wondering if it’s something with my immune system.

I may take aspirin whilst I wait to be seen?

katharine1403 · 07/05/2025 18:23

Hello @Carportforme , would you say Dr Shehata is more expensive? I can’t believe all the prices but Dr Rai seems more from what I can see! I’m trying to decide who to go with currently
