Hi,

I suspect this is a miscarriage, I have been spotting brown since I found out I was pregnant. On Sunday the spotting changed, and now I'm bleeding lots, yet to pass any decent sized clots or pregnancy tissue but I'm guessing that will come soon? Bleeding seems pretty steady. How long til this progresses into passing the pregnancy from your experience of loss? I have had a miscarriage before but it was a missed one and I took the medication so all happened quickly. I'm 6 weeks 😢 I mean I was 6 weeks.

I’ll be honest, I’ve had lots of miscarriages.
It’s impossible to tell without a scan. I had bleeding that heavy with my now 6 year old. And lost a twin in an earlier pregnancy with just a spot of blood.

I don’t want to give you false hope, and I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this as it’s so hard, but see if you can organise a scan at your local epau. In some you don’t need a GP referral

Like Lately says, you need a scan.

I had a missed miscarriage once and only had pink discharge.

I had a successful twin pregnancy and bled on three separate occasions. Heavily at times. One time I passed two big clots so was sure that was the twins.

Good luck. Please call EPU and ask for a scan x

nothing to say, except I am sorry, and I hope you are ok xx

CharlotteRae · 06/08/2024 07:47

I have a scan booked at EPU, soonest they could get me in was next Monday. Seems a long way away. I think I know it's over deep down! You just have a gut feeling don't you. Thank you for replying x

Don’t give up hope until you are scanned. I experienced loss like this in my last pregnancy and they scanned me and saw a SCH. Which can look scary but often resolves. Good luck x

CharlotteRae · 06/08/2024 20:19

@Chunk23 thanks for your message, the bleeding seems to have subsided slightly today. It's weird though because although I had no major cramps or pain, when I'm having a heavy period I always get this weird tingly numb sort of feeling down there and almost into my upper thigh and I had that which is why I thought it was a period. Did you have any feeling with yours? X

That’s positive that the bleeding has subsided. The 2 miscarriages I’ve experienced have been full on blood that doesn’t stop, they don’t tend to stop and start, and you’d certainly experience awful cramps. My pregnancy that had the SCH was quite crampy and yes I know what you mean with the tingling x

oustedbymymate · 06/08/2024 20:41

I don't want to give false hope but I bled heavy in both my pregnancies.

It's disgusting that they can't get you in any sooner than Monday! You're supposed to wait a week to find out if you've lost your baby? Can you go to another hospital? Go private?

Hope it turns out to be ok!

CharlotteRae · 06/08/2024 20:47

Ahh I know it's shit isn't it, and I was going to go private, they even said it was an option but then when the bleeding picked up and I lost hope I didn't see the point as I just assumed it was all over. Now I'm not sure what to do. X

I’d call EPU again and ask to be seen sooner. It’s cruel that we are made to wait for so long to get an answer.
in My current pregnancy I bled between week 6 and 7 and was convinced it was over. Everything was fine and there was explanation. Currently 16 weeks.
There is hope x

CharlotteRae · 06/08/2024 21:17

@Chunk23 thankyou, I'm so glad to have this platform and advise x

Good luck, thinking of you x

So had scan, as I feared no viable pregnancy. Sonographer is concerned that she saw what could be a gestational sac attached to my c section scar... which is a rare type of ectopic. EPU have now booked me in tomorrow instead of Monday with the consultant. Anyone any experience of this? 😳

Hey @CharlotteRae going through v similar, also can’t be seen on nhs until Monday. I nearly booked private for tonight but didn’t. My output (I don’t know what to call it!) looks v similar to yours. Sorry you’re going through this too

Hi, I am about 6 to 7 weeks pregnant but I have had brownish discharge and it has been stopped for couple days now only had the discharge a day. My big scare now is I just had a nice size "clot" or something discharge and I have lots of pain in lower part of my back barely any in my stomach, and I'm also still not bleeding. Is it possible to be pregnant with twins and I may have miscarried one of them?
