Possible miscarriage awaiting epu

Hello,

I know it's a very sensitive subject but could I ask what people's physical symptoms of early miscarriage were.

I had a positive pregnancy test 10 days ago and I think I would be between 5-6 weeks. I've had tummy ache for about 2-weeks just dull cramps as if my period was about to start. I was told this probably isn't a concern and can be normal. Today I started bleeding and still have cramps. It started like watery pinkish blood, only visible really when I wiped. Then it became darker almost brown, then red. Still not loads but like maybe the 1st say of period when it's a bit lighter. I went to A&E and told her all this, in my head i was thinking miscarriage or ectopic, she felt my tummy it didnt hurt anywhere and called epu for advice. They couldn't get me in there until tomorrow so I have an appointment to go back to Epu in the morning. Now I've got home my cramps gave ramped up and so has the bleeding like a normal period with some small blood clots, I also have a terrible headache/migraine. Is this in people's experience the start of the miscarriage? How bad does the pain and bleeding get?

@Sparrow11 I'm so sorry you're going through this. Headaches can occur as a result of rapid hormone changes which do happen in a MC. Each person's experience is different both in terms of discomfort and amount of bleeding so no one can say for certain ❤️

As you're earlier on it should be more like a heavy period with clotting. Definitely still go to the appointment even if you're sure you've miscarried though, just so they can make sure there are no complications xx

With my MC at around 10 weeks it started with loosing my pregnancy symptoms days before, the horrible diarrhoea one day and few days later I started bleeding first a bit and then a lot with cramps and I could see pieces coming out. As yours is so early I would expect it to be more like heavy periods. ❤️‍🩹

Just to update they thought it was a miscarriage as my bleeding became heavier with clots. However needed bloods to confirm. Strangely the hcg is increasing but very low. It was 120 on 3/8 then 124 5/8 then 147 7/8. Does anyone know what could cause this. I've got go back for a rescan on Saturday at the 1st one all they said was they could see blood in the uterus so looked like a miscarriage. I'm so stressed thinking it's ectopic or I'm going have yo have surgery and what that would mean in the future
