I had a fairly dramatic miscarriage on Wednesday in-between the two sets of tablets for medical management. Had a scan on Thursday and there's nothing left but the lining.
I knew I might bleed afterwards but it's really light and I have no idea when I should expect my period and want to have that before we start ttc again. Is there a gap between the bleeding? Will it just ramp up from whatever this is into an Actual Period?
Also - I only had two periods to go off when I fell pregnant the first time because I'd been on hormonal contraception since I was 16 (14 years), and the average of those two periods was 33 days which seems very long. Will my period probably come 33 days after the miscarriage? Is the day of miscarriage "day 1", or is that a daft question?
Maths was never my strong suit and I completely forgot to ask the lovely doctor any of these questions. I'm not at the point where I'm doing ovulation tests or anything, so leaning on the wisdom of crowds in case there's any signs I should look out for. I think my fear is that I spend a small fortune on ovulation sticks or have to wait until this miscarriage bleeding (up to 4 weeks?) is over and then two whole actual periods to work out my cycle length, which feels like forever.
