Feeling sick with MMC

I found out I've had a MMC last Thursday. I'm booked in for MVA next Tuesday..for now I still feel very pregnant, and have terrible nausea. Any advice on how to tackle this? It seems particularly cruel my body still thinks it's nurturing something and I have all the symptoms still.

So sorry for your loss. I’ve been there too. It’s damn hard. I think a trip to the doctor for the best anti nausea tablets possible is in order.
Sending you a virtual hug x

I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's so utterly cruel. It's because there is still a lot of hCG in your system, so as far as your body is concerned, you are still pregnant. I had a nasty MMC in November last year and it took months to resolve. That doesn't mean yours will take months, though, as every case is dfferent. Hopefully for you the hCG fizzles out in no time and you recover quickly. Big warm hugs to you xx

I’m so sorry for your loss, MMC is particularly cruel. I’m afraid there isn’t that much you can do except as PP suggested speak to dr for anti sickness. I found that after my surgery my nausea dropped off almost completely straight away.

I think because your body don’t recognise you’ve lost the baby it just takes longer to adjust. With my first miscarriage I bled for 3 days and tested negative after a week but I’m currently still bleeding and still testing positive two weeks after surgery for MMC.

If it helps, the surgery itself was very quick, and other than a sore throat from the tube it was virtually painless (I was under general anaesthetic). All the best OP, I hope it goes well for you, sending support x

Thank you everyone for the kind words. Kindness keeps making me well up at the moment!
Nausea has eased off but I think I've picked up a stomach bug running to the loo a few times today.
@Hrf1503 that's really helpful to know. No idea what to expect next week really. But I've got my pre-op assessment On Monday so I'll find out more then xxx

I'm so sorry for your loss - I had horrible morning sickness right up until I woke up from surgical management, and was on iv anti nausea meds. The relief of feeling better was overwhelming. It's so cruel to still feel so ill when you know the pregnancy is over.

It took around a week post surgery for bleeding to stop and 3 weeks to get a negative test but the symptoms were well gone by then. Xx
