already posted in conception wondered if anyone could help me.

i am now 8 days late for period, been having crampy pains for two weeks - was nauseous sore breasts etc. took preg test on docs advise last thursday - positive, but quite faint which i asumed was early. doc said do a few more and see what happens, didnt really seem to get any stronger - definate but not strong (clearblue). passed out yesterday went to local hospital who said i am not pregnant did blood tests. went back to doctor he said to do one with him which again was positive. he said defo pregnant. he said it may be failing but no blood and cramping seems to have lessened. still feel nauseous and so confused and to be honest distressed. have had mc before and it was nothing like this so just dont understand. hospital treated me like an idiot even though i had the tests with me - they said maybe all four from different batches were faulty!!!! just so confused and upset. i was so looking forward to another baby and until it comes away or whatever i dont feel like i can let go or even if there is anything. help.

sorry don't know much to help, but maybe ask your doctor to check what blood test the hosp did and repeat it. the blood test to check for pregnancy should be bHCG. this should roughly double every 48 hrs so if your GP is happy to do this you could ask for one tomorrow and another on friday to check the difference in the levels

Blood preg tests tend to be more sensitive than urine so really strange that blood test negative.Maybe try going back to gp and asking for blood test to be done.
do you have a hospital early pregnancy unit near you?
you can usually self refer to them and they may be more helpful.
would certainly keep testing if no af arriving.
hope you get things sorted out soon

Hi prettyfly,

Unfortunately I don't have any specific advise but know how difficult it is to be in Limbo like this, so couldn't help responding.

Hopefully someone will come along soon, until then - try to stay positive
