Hi. So I had a MMC carriage in Jan 24 and had a d&c for that. I went back to hospital twice with pain / bleeding and pregnancy tests still very positive after it. I was scanned twice and told no retained products (once by a registrar and once by midwife). My hcg was still elevated so I went back weekly for blood test to make sure it was coming down. After 9 weeks of this I had enough as the hcg was barely coming down, I demanded to be seen by a consultant. I was then seen and scanned and lo and behold had retained products. Had another d&c (9 weeks after first d&c ), pathology came back and confirmed retained products and signs of chronic endometritis likely due to the retained tissue. I was given a doxycyline course to start before the second d&c and I finished two weeks of it. I had one period after the d&c and then next cycle had a chemical pregnancy (testing positive from 9dpo to 18dpo). Just had other negative cycle. My cycles are different in that only lasting 3 days and not bleeding very much. I am so worried I still have chronic endometritis or scarring which is causing issues such as implantation failures My two previous children I got pregnant first month trying and no issues and also with the MMC in January I got pregnant in Oct first go with that also . The hospital don’t seemed to bothered and keep fobbing me off saying they don’t think it could be chronic endometritis because I had antibiotics. Has anyone experienced similar? It has been the most stressful 6 months and I just feel something isn’t right. It’s all I have thought about for the last 6 months. I am going to a private appointment this week to be assessed but just hoping the don’t fob me off either.
