3 miscarriages & spasms/fluttering/twitching in cervix area

Hi all, (sorry its a bit long)

I'm new to this forum and I hope someone can help me. I will give you a brief history first. I'm 35 & have 2 ds aged 8&6. I have had 3 miscarriages in the last 10 months. I have had tests for chromosomes, sticky blood & Lupus which are all normal. I have been getting a strange sensation inside my cervix area since having my ds2. But it seems to get worse during and after the miscarriages. It feels like a spasm/fluttering/twitchng sensation it is not painful just annoying and tends to wake me at night. This is when I feel it the most. I mentioned this to my consultant & he said it was my uterus that I was feeling & that it was a busy place & moving all the time. I'm not convinced and sure that these sensations are causing my miscarriages. My dh thinks that they are stress related, as they seemed to have got worse since my 2nd miscarriage. But I don't know what to think. My consultant has signed me off and said to contact the epau when I get pregnant again and they will give me progesterone, I wish I asked him more. All my miscarriages were natural. Has anyone felt anything like this before?
Any advice would be appreciated.

thanks twinkle33

I distinctly felt my cervix twitching and spasming whilst pregnant with DD2 and in all subsequent pregnancies - I had one missed mc and am nearly 10 weeks pregnant again.

They are NOT stress-related or my uterus. You have lived in your body for 35 years and you know it better than anyone else.

I also have cervical erosion.

Has anyone actually examined your cervix?

I don't know that it's connected to early mc, as I had spasms and had a full term, healthy child and I had a missed mc and needed ERPC.

Hi Thanks for responding. The only examinations I have had have been during the miscarriages to check if cervix was closed or open and I had a swab test after 1st miscarriage as I had a thrush symptoms and the doctor said it looked healthy then. Turned out I had pus cells which they treated with antibiotics. Consultant didn't examine me as I was on my period. I have mentioned it to my doctor but she said she didn't know what it was and to mention it too the consultant. She said if it was a weak cervix I would miscarry alot later.

she's right, though. incompetent cervix causes mc much later.
