Spotting

On Thurs I wiped in the morning and had slight, light brown streaks. Then on Friday sat and Sunday I had one occasion each day of wiping and slight pink discharge. Today first thing I wiped and had a little bit of blood. I have none yet showing in my pants and haven't had any since when wiping. I don't know exactly why I'm writing this. I'm driving myself mad but it is most likely going to be a misscarriage I would say. I will ring gp tomorrow, closed today with Bank holiday.

Hey @WiseLeader. have you had any other symptoms? I recently had a miscarriage and could kinda tell right away something wasn’t right as felt poorly, and then cramps and bleeding gradually increased. Eventually I passed some larger bits of tissue which confirmed it for me.

However in my first pregnancy I had some bleeding with no other symptoms and everything was fine. It’s actually quite common in the first trimester.

how far along are you? If over 7 weeks I think they can detect a heartbeat, so you should be able to get a scan at your EPU. If you don’t have any other symptoms this is the only way to know for sure (a pregnancy test will likely still show positive). I’m sorry you are going through this it’s always worrying but fingers crossed it will be okay for you.

I dont have any other symptoms really. I'm only 6 weeks. I have had 2 miscarriages before basically when I got the first sign of blood in those 2 miscarriages it turned into heavy bleeding within a day. I was trying to remain positive after the pink spotting but when I saw actual blood today it removed all positivity. Suppose its just a waiting game.

I’m so sorry for your previous losses it’s so tough, and even worse I think not knowing for sure. For reference I was exactly 6 weeks too, and on the second day I did pass quite a bit of tissue so it was fairly obvious, combined with intense cramping.

hopefully you can get some guidance tomorrow, although I don’t think there is much they can do this early unfortunately. they may advise you to take another test in a few days (that’s what mine did). if you have some tests laying around you could take them and see if the lines start to get lighter.

I’m sorry you are going through this.
