What was your bleeding like?

I’ve been on and off a few times on this thread
I’ve now been bleeding on and off 16 days
I have a scan at EPU tomorrow however I feel if there’s growth in my scan they will tell me to wait another week anyway
my bleeding is so strange it’s on and off throughout the day I find when I do something or at night and first thing in morning it’s worse. I’m so fed up sometimes it’s there when I wipe sometimes it’s not it touches the pad every so often but not always I’m going out of my mind and feel so out of touch with my body

My first miscarriage started like that. On and off bleeding for about 10 days until it started properly, and I was able to confirm with a negative pregnancy test.

One of my closest friends, however, bleed like this in the early weeks of all three of her successful pregnancies.

Hopefully your outcome will be like hers. But, I do remember how anxious and stressful the not-knowing was. I’m sorry you’re going through this, but I’ll have my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow.

I had bleeding like this for over 10 weeks, was brown and could only see it when wiping and occasionally on a pad. I’ve been under my EPU for a while, I’ve been told my pregnancy was ectopic, molar, PUL and chemical (it was neither of these).

For a while we could only see the sac on the ultrasound and then we finally saw the fetal pole but it had no heartbeat so I was scanned last Thursday and was told it is a missed miscarriage.

I was given a few options on how I would like to miscarriage, I chosen the natural approach and the very next day I started with heavy bleeding with clots, where I’ve been in hospital for transfusions with the amount of blood lost.

I just wanted to share my experience, I know it nots positive and not what you may want to hear and I am sorry. But with the spotting I’ve had from day one with this pregnancy I knew deep down something was wrong. I was told very early on whilst being under EPU it was implantation bleeding but then they soon found a large SCH around the sac what they said caused the bleeding.

So in your case it could be a SCH, as I found the spotting got worst if I was doing more throughout the day. But, I am not a medical professional.

Thanks ladies I just feel so out of touch with my body. @TigerRy97 I was the same PUL then I had a private that said I was too early then and only measuring 4 weeks so went back to hospital they found a sac but small and empty did your sac have growth?
I went 2 weeks ago and sac was empty 6mm
then last week it was 11.5mm with yolk sac but there was bleeding seen around the pregnant sac so d&c was cancelled as I didn’t qualify and then back tomorrow so hoping to see embryo did you still have your symptoms I do ?!

@SagittariusUprising thanks I had one really bad around 7 years ago and I had heavy bleeding from the start but because this comes and goes sometimes red with tiny tiny jelly like clots and others there’s nothing there or nothing on the pad I just don’t understand it? I’m praying for a good outcome!! Xxx

I finally had my scan today, had a classic experience with the doctors/nurses🙄 I know that I’ve definitely had a miscarriage but since I’ve still had positive tests and cramping on/off I wanted to check if there was still anything left to pass before we TTC again…. I should be 8.5weeks now definitely (as I ovulation tracked so know which day I ovulated and conceived, and got my 1st positive on 9th March). My scan showed an empty gestational sac measuring 4.5weeks (no yolk sac or baby) so was told ‘you probs have normal pregnancy bleeding and you’ve just come for a scan too early cos you got your dates wrong)😐 If I was 4.5weeks that would technically mean I conceived 2.5weeks ago, but I got a positive test 6 weeks ago so not sure why they can’t understand that🙄 so they basically just said come back in a week and hopefully we’ll see a baby has grown….
Tried to explain to them that I’d lost all my symptoms and that I’ve passed tissue etc and think it’s just the sac to pass now but they’re trying to say otherwise…. Would love to still be pregnant but I know I’m not wrong on dates and what’s happened so bit annoying really. So sounds similar to you being told just keep coming back!

yeah exact same only thing I didn’t qualify was because sac had grown all whilst bleeding and yolk sac was then present but the bleeding is period like with small tiny clots everytime I wipe now so I need to admit defeat I think and call it a day :( heartbroken!

my friend just found out she’s pregnant and was so excited we’ll be close dates so stinging a little and DH doesn’t want to try again for a while just bought a new business etc x

@Mommabear96 thanks for messaging life is just crap right now I suppose for all of us. Scan showed what I thought lots of bleeding in the uterus and breakdown of a small part of the pregnancy sac however there had been growth but my bleeding was getting more and more frequent last night and passing lots of clots so unfortunately lovely nurse and sonogrpaher held my hand and said that we think it’s best to say that there’s no baby viable and that due to my previous miscarriage of growth and waiting I’ve opted for a surgical d&c on Tuesday as 5 day wait for surgery atm. My wee heart is totally broken been so upset tonight I think once you have confirmation it just hits you in the heart :( x
