WARNING GRAPHIC PICS AND TRIGGER!

Hi everyone you may remember me from some recent posts regarding an early miscarriage at 6/7 weeks this is still ongoing however I’m wondering now if it’s a possible SCH instead?!

So I started having light spotting on 02/04 (6.5 weeks) this then turned to more light bleeding after a few days with constant light cramping starting on 06/04. On 08/04 the bleeding turned to more of a heavyish period and I passed a few clots and possible pieces of tissue then all cramping stopped. Not much bleeding or pain for whole day on 09/04 then seemed to pass a small piece of tissue.
On 10/04 constant light cramping returned and have since had on and off period like bleeding, definitely more so when I wipe rather than it being on the pad. This morning when I went to the toilet there was just a tiny smudge of brown on the pad so thought it was ending, however after doing my business when I wiped there was lots of red again!🤦‍♀️
Also see the pics, I’ve been testing this whole time and my line is still very dark and doesn’t appear to be getting lighter at all!

with regards to pregnancy symptoms I’d had no sickness but was feeling exhausted, ravenous, sore boobs, on and off headaches and stuffy nose (which I had til 20 weeks last pregnancy). When spotting started all of these disappeared apart from the stuffy nose which I still have and the headaches have carried on. However this morning I feel a bit nauseous.

Haven’t been able to get to EPU yet, everyone on the phone is useless but I have got a GP appointment on Monday to discuss things and do a blood test to check if HCG is rising or falling.

But has anyone had an SCH does it sound like this? Or any advice either way?
I had made peace with having the miscarriage and just wanted it to hurry up so we could try again but now I’m like am I still pregnant?! Sooo confusing!

I'm in the same boat really, no advice or anything, I'm waiting for another scan on Thursday so I'm here only to offer you support and hope which is the only thing I seem to live off daily. I just think it's absolutely awful how the health care professionals are so useless in this situation. I know that sounds silly and I know it's not their fault but in this day and age?! Seriously?? Telling heartbroken expectant mothers to go home and wait and see is beyond cruel in my opinion, I'd have more help and compassion from my g.p if I had an ingrown toenail. I'm sending you all the luck I can and a great big 'keep your chin up best you can' hug. Xx

I had spotting and lower back pain, similar to this last week and it wasn’t good news for me unfortunately. However I’ve seen lots of people have similar bleeds and it was a SCH.

really the only way you will know is a scan.
can you present at the hospital and say you need to be seen by EPAU? You can also try PALS if you feel you can’t get anything from the hospital. You should be offered a scan. The gp can’t do anything and the hcg rising may not tell you with certainty the baby is ok.

Been trying to get a scan but proving difficult, they just say unless you’re on the floor dying then you’re fine?!🤦‍♀️

After you had your bleed did you get a negative or reducing line on a test??

Got an appointment with GP Monday but when I called all I got was ‘erm why do you want an appointment?’ And I was like errr cos I think I’m losing my baby and want to speak to a professional and get some tests done???👀🤦‍♀️ no words of sympathy/comfort or anything.
Then called EPU and they say no need to come in unless you’re in agonising pain and can’t move 😐 absolutely ridiculous just want to see what’s going on!?

A subchorionic haematoma (SCH) is bleeding or the build-up of blood between the wall of the uterus and the sac

@Mommabear96 no line was still blazing, I think it takes a while for the body to register and hcg to come down. I noticed by sickness lessened though and didn’t come back - that was about 6+4 which fits about right x

@Mommabear96 id put a complaint (PALS / patient experience) in or book a private scan, the not knowing would send me over the edge xx

@H20202 ah ok, everyone else has said they had a faint/reducing line pretty soon and that mine is way too dark…
I had lost all my symptoms but feel like they’re coming back now?! Had no sickness before and now woke up and was sick this morning and felt weird all day🤦‍♀️ so confusing! X

Finally managed to get them to book me in for a scan! Not feeling hopeful but will be glad to just finally have an answer!

Hope the scan gives you some answers! When I miscarried at a similar gestation, my tests turned negative very quickly after. Within a couple of days. Fingers crossed for you!

That's pretty much how my miscarriage started out with a SCH. The pregnancy test done at the hospital 2 days before my scan was a blazing positive.

Just to clarify if a MC completes or is active then I’d think you’d see the line fading, however if it’s a missed MC or bleeding which is light and comes and goes I think that’s why the line stays dark as it actually hasn’t completed x

@IBegYourBiggestPardon did you have much pain at all?
I’ve had heavyish period like bleeding for about a week now with tiny clot fragments but I’m not in pain? I’ve had bad headaches and a couple days with light cramping but most days no pain at all….

@H20202 yeah definitely not a missed MC as I’m bleeding lots, could be incomplete? But the bleeding has been going on for 11 days now so you’d think something might be changing with a test? It’s not like the bleeding has stopped or anything🤷🏼‍♀️
Also not really feeling any pain today apart from headaches

Can I suggest taking pregnancare vitamin supplement
Not least because it has a perfect balance of all those vitamins you need for baby but also because with all that bleeding your iron levels may be suffering.

@Mommabear96 not at first no. I had been told to expect some bleeding due to the SCH but assured that it wasn't dangerous to the Baby. At first it was a a bit of brown blood, but only really there when I wiped. Then on the Saturday I did start to get mild cramps and also a fair amount of pain around my kidneys. I was passing clots but this point so did go to A&E after I'd finished work. The Dr there got me to do a couple of urine samples and both had blood in them. Diagnosed with a kidney infection and given antibiotics. The second sample (needed because before he had chance to do the Pregnancy test he accidentally poured it down the sink) did the test and within seconds it was a blazing positive so he said he didn't think there was any issues. Couldn't have a scan that night but I could've had one on the Sunday if I wanted to. My scan was on the Monday morning anyway and I didn't want to be on my own if it was bad news. The Sunday pain wise not too bad. Had a minor bump in my car and by minor I mean minor. It was literally the wheel arch of mine scraping someone's bumper because he was in my blind spot. Thought nothing of it until later that night when I started to get the most intense pains in my lower stomach. They'd come and go in strong waves, but again only bleeding slightly. Enough to need a pad but not enough to be concerned about. Pains lasted pretty much all night. Went for my scan. They said due to having to kidney infection rather than holding my urine in and causing more pain they'd just go straight to an internal scan. Scan showed the sac had doubled in size but Baby was still measuring behind and didn't have a heartbeat and had also gone down towards my cervix. Couldn't confirm it was a miscarriage though for another 2 weeks but about 5 days later I had a huge bleed that lasted around 2 hours and passed about 4 or 5 hand sized clots. Back to A&E again where the Gynae did pull some clots that were stuck in my cervix out but he couldn't say if I'd definitely miscarried or not. Told to go back the following day and that's when they confirmed it for definite. The sac had collapsed at that point. However it took a further 3 weeks and medication until everything had passed completely.

feel like we’re writing about each other
so I’m the same been bleeding on and off only when wiping and mines is more discharge like most of the time for around 13 days now but pregnancy showed nothing in sac on scan first week of bleeding I was scheduled for a surgical d&c on Wednesday afternoon Tuesday night had a scan still empty sac so Pre op bloods done and fasted got the surgeon to re do scan before the op in the morning and yolk sac was found so didn’t qualify for surgery I have no cramps just the bleeding and blood like discharge which comes and goes throughout the day never touches a pad and light not like a period I’ve been told to re scan again on Wednesday to see if there’s embryo they did say there was a visible bleed around the sac but I don’t know what that means and they didn’t explain it I have no idea feel so out of touch with my body my boobs are still killer and I’m nauseated if I get hungry and wants specific things but know it can be normal if you’re body hadn’t recognised miscarriage yet

I think I am inevitably having a MC now, medium period bleeding for a week now with on and off period cramps. Passed some more tissue today, and think that possibly my pregnancy test is a tad lighter today although still incredibly dark…..
Absolutely sucks, was so close to getting our 12 week scan so going to have to start again😓 I’ve accepted it now but just wish it would hurry up as it’s really dragging on😫

Does sound like your bleeding isn’t as bad as mine and you’ve still got your symptoms so fingers crossed for you!❤️ hope you get your answers soon, but hopefully good news! Xx

@Jenroxy5 thanks for checking in, well my bleeding has stopped (unless it’s going to start back up later…). But still got cramps and bad headaches and still a super dark line on tests. So going ahead with scan tomorrow so will hopefully know what’s going on by tomorrow!😫🤞🏻

Hoping it goes well tomorrow for you I’m hoping we both have sch and not miscarriages. My bleeding is now like yours now in the picture above. Albeit on and off but it’s definitely darker now. It’s so frustrating because I have no cramps my boobs still hurt and nausea every so often and hungry again like I was right at the start.
I just don’t understand all of this and they basically have said unless bleeding heavily and sore/painful they only say threatened miscarriage because I had progress on a scan but no heartbeat yet

@Jenroxy5 awh hun, yeah it’s tough isn’t it. Really hope I get some kind of definite answer, hating the not knowing, whichever way it’s going to go.
From what’s happened I’m thinking now that I’ve had an incomplete miscarriage which is not what I wanted, but if so then I’m thinking I’d get the pill to speed things along cos it’s been going on for 2 weeks now and someone people have said it’s lasted up to 6 weeks😫
Honestly lost all hope that I’m still pregnant, as my boobs have basically disappeared lol and they were getting huge and no sickness or anything so don’t think there’s much chance unfortunately 😓
Just so confused with it all though cos my bleeding has stopped but belly is still cramping like hell, when everyone says once bleeding stops the pain goes?? So really hoping there’s no complications or anything!!x

aw I’m sorry I’m still hoping for you! I am the same and I keep hoping as well that my symptoms are there and my pregnancy tests are still dark.
if they offer you surgical management than medication pill I think it’s an easier option I took medical previously and it ended up took another 3 weeks and was incomplete still so had the surgery. My specialist encouraged the surgical d&c clear the womb and makes fertility for next pregnancy slightly better chance I fell pregnant 2 months later to my little girl. I felt like it was less pain too. My scan isn’t until Wednesday feels so far away xx
