Had one miscarraige in January this year and the second one is looming just three months later. Had the same pinky discharge on fri night which was how my miss miscarraige last time was decetive. However when they checked my hcg levels they wer over 5000 which I was told is high for just 5 weeks pregnant which I am. Has anyone experienced this before, going for second blood test tonight.

No experience, but wanted to say really really best of luck, lots of people do have bleeding on and off throughout pregnancy, it might not be a MC.

I have my fingers crossed, and hope someone else has some advice soon. The higher levels than to be expected is a good sign, isn't it?

Let us know how it goes won't you?

I am doing OK thanks, got a bit of a mystery going on (see bottom pic on my profile!) period due Tuesday, but had BFN this morning, so know idea what is going on!

I can't pretend to imagine how worrying all of this is for you, (it is something I am hoping I never have to go through again!) but it is very common to have some bleeding especially in early pregnancy.

Can you try to do something relaxing this afternoon? The weather is lovely here, could you sit in the garden with a good book? Or a nice long bath or something, I know nothing will take your mind off of it, but it might help to have some quiet time?

Wish there was something I could do or say that would actually help, always feel so useless on these threads.

mower, have they scanned you yet? are you sure of your dates?

Hi Mower, just been through this, should have been 9wks today, but missed miscarriage was confirmed last Thurs, after 2wks of uncertainty. Because of a m/c last Aug, I had regular blood tests this time, which picked up that my hcg levels weren't rising as they should. My levels were:
11/3 (6+1wks) 4,200
13/3 (6+3) 5,300
17/3 (7wks) 7,800
27/3 (8+3) 22,000
29/3 (9wks) 17,000
There is such a big range though, which is considered normal, for hcg levels. My numbers on their own were ok, but it was the fact they weren't increasing by at least 70% every 48hrs that rang the alarm bells. I had 2 scans, on 15/3 and 27/3, with the 2nd one confirming that things weren't developing.
My gynae said today that they look at both hcg levels and scans together, on their own, neither are conclusive.
Hope this helps, good luck

Unfortunatly yes I have been through this before and my levels were still rising durring the actual MC. I ended up having an erpc before my levels started to drop. It is horrible waiting round to be told what is happening you have my prayers and best wishes. Take it easy and be kind to yourself, allow yourself time.

hello,
i am 43 and just had an embryo transfer with eggs donated by my beautiful 23 year old sister.
2 embryos were placed, got the sore boobs, grin, took a hpt on the morning of my blood test. it was positive. i know i shouldn't have done it but i just wanted the experience of that + sign. got the call this afternoon that my level was at 47 and they really like to see 100. she said that i have a 50/50 chance.
i am so nervous.
i asked if there was anything i could do and she said no. it really bummed me out, but i am trying to stay positive and saying many a prayer.
