Ovulation following a miscarriage

I sadly miscarried last week (3rd April) and stopped bleeding earlier this week. It's currently 11th April and I have the usual ovulation symptoms (headache, EWCM, mild cramping). Me and my partner want to TTC straight away and I have been tracking my LH levels but these have been high since I was pregnant. I thought it was still picking up hcg as this is common with these tests. I don't know what to think. Has anyone else ovulated and gone on to conceive just a week after a miscarriage?

Hi, I had a MMC in Feb. I was told I wouldn’t ovulate until I had a negative pregnancy test. Have you tested for HCG? That needs to be completely out of your system before your body will ovulate. It took three weeks for me to get a negative pregnancy test. I would ignore LH levels until you have that because it’s probably picking up HCG x

Not exactly what you're asking but I MC the first week of Nov and then fell pregnant the first week of Jan after my period returned. I didn't try prior to Jan as I wasn't in the right headspace, so don't know if I could have conceived earlier.

I've have had two blood samples taken and my levels were dropping and they confirmed miscarriage. The final one was Saturday and were at 127. I have a final blood test this Saturday to check they're now at zero which I imagine they will be. Pregnancy tests are also showing negative. I am usually so in tune with my body and I know it'll take time to reset but just don't understand why I am showing signs of ovulation? I was expecting this to be the case next week at the earliest (2 weeks later). Did anyone have ovulation symptoms but werent actually ovulating after a miscarriage?

@Goldented I am in a very similar position! Had a miscarriage on 7th April. My gynaecologist told
me to start trying again straight away (even though HCG is not yet zero) you CAN still ovulate with HCG in your system if it’s very low. I normally ovulate on day 14, which was yesterday and I had all the ovulation symptoms, banging headache, cramping pains etc so we DTD. My pregnancy tests are showing very very faint line now and ovulation is blazing positive so we are just going for it because we don’t want to miss another month. Ovulation tests can be false-positive after a miscarriage, but if you know your body/symptoms and you feel ready then crack on…that’s what I’m doing anyway. Good luck with it all xx
