Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Chemical Pregnancy

Background: came off pill and had what would say are normal periods on a 26 day cycle.

Husband and I TTC and been tracking ovulation with apps and taking daily test.

Weekend just gone I started to feel some similar symptoms I had with my first child. Drained tired feeling, soacey/dizzy feeling, nausea, tender lower belly/boots.

End up being 2 days late and take pregnancy test, comes back negative. Day after I start what I assume is my period and take it that month didn't work. As the day goes on I get heavier and cramping (something I never have) and by nighttime after watching TV for couple hours I find myself (and underwear) dripping with blood.

Take myself to a&e where they dip test me and still negative pregancy but stomach very tender, especially on one side. Start with diareah aswell.

Told its just a heavy period and given tablets to stop bleeding. Tablets make me feel funny so I need up taking only 1 dose. Bleeding eased of a bit, but still feeling spacey, nausea, and stomach really quite painful at times.

I feel this is not a period and possibly a chemical pregnancy even tho I never tested positive (it may ve my hormone levels never got to the point of registering on stick or a multiple pregmamcy that meant levels were too high to register).

But I just don't feel right and had I not been bleeding I still would have said early days of feeling pregnant.

Does this sound like anyone else who may have lost an early pregnancy? How long did symptoms last for??

Thanks

Hi, I’ve had many miscarriages unfortunately. This doesn’t sound like a miscarriage to me, so good news in that respect! The bleed isn’t consistent with the womb lining at that stage, especially if you don’t have particularly heavy periods.

However, although this could be down to coming off the pill, I would get checked out as it doesn’t sound normal for you.

Ive had a few chemical pregnancies but a later stage to you and it’s been like a period. If I hadn’t tested I wouldn’t have known. Even at over 12 weeks it wasn’t like that, it was heavy bleeding and contraction like pains. But cleared up in a few days.

I think you should definitely see a doctor, it could be a cyst, PCOS, perimenopause, etc., or just a result of coming off the pill.

Hi! Yea I think tomorrow I'm going to get it checked over as it's not normal for me.

Just with what I had started to feel, plus with the fact we'd be TTC, it to me seemed more likely to be a very early loss.

Just wondered as well if anyone had a similar situation where they would have sworn they were pregnant, negative test, but then heavy bleeding.
