Anyone else?

Anyone else woken up in tears today or just me? Didn't expect to feel so sad on Mother's Day but I can't stop thinking about what could've been, and we should've been telling our families today that I was pregnant 😭

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? Or am I being silly?

Yes. It's horrible. I found the combination of World Book Day, International Women's Day and Mother's Day incredibly hard this week.

I was meant to be 18 weeks this week, had an MMC at 13 weeks.

You are not being silly. Are you able to do something nice for yourself today? I am going to stay off social media and go to a spa

Perfectly natural to feel this way.

💐 to you all.

I'm so sorry you're going through this too. It's so painful, isn't it? I hope you enjoy the spa and spend the day relaxing.

I'm off to spend the day with my mum and nan, hopefully that'll take my mind off it 💖

@GKD thank you so much. 💖

You’re not silly at all, especially as you were planning to share your news — but instead you’re having to come to terms with your loss. It’s rubbish, it really is. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

I’m very lucky in that I have children, but I’ve lost my own Mum so Mother’s Day is always bittersweet. I find unsubscribing from any companies that send Mothers Day marketing and just staying off social media for a while really helps. There’s nothing wrong with feeling the way you do. Wishing you all the best 💐

No I've been feeling really sad today too, I had my surgery on Thursday.this was my first pregnancy and my first mc. I was so looking forward to Mother's Day this year, for me being the mum for the first time (except to our cats who have been getting me a card for the last few years). I just hope that one day this will be a day for me too.
Lots of love to all of us on this horrible journey 💐

I've been really struggling today - grateful to see this post but I'm sorry others are in a similar situation 💐

Yes I've felt very emotional. Had surgical management 3 days ago so think I'm having a hormone crash today. Hoping things get better soon.

Blossomofhope · 10/03/2024 17:51

Yep also feeling sad. Been trying for a few years and had a chemical before but I think going through a mc around Mother’s Day just hits different. Sending love to you all. ❤️

@UrsulaSings123 the hormone crash is something else. Hunker down and hang tight...it does lift, but those first few days are are rough. I just had my first period post miscarriage and the PMS was out of control and reminded me of the initial crash.

So sorry for everyone's losses. Today has felt very bleak. I know people in real life who have had losses but they all have their babies now and even their social media posts are making me feel bad. I don't know yet if I will ever get a first mother's day...

Love to everyone 💕
