hi all,

yesterday I started spotting and went for an ultrasound where baby was measure around 6+5 when I should be nearer 9 weeks. The hospital is making me go back for another ultrasound but it isn’t for 2 weeks - I understand it’s procedure but feels cruel when I know it isn’t viable as I would have had to tested positive on literal day I conceived.

Does anyone have any tips for getting through next couple of weeks or naturally hurrying things up? I can’t bare the thought of feeling like this for another few weeks

thanks

I had the same. It's procedure but does feel incredibly cruel.

There's nothing you can do, but wait wait wait.

Sorry op.

@northernhomebird

So sorry this has happened to you.
I'm having the same, my next appointment is on Monday. I've been bleeding everyday but nothing substantial, am in pain and am exhausted.
My only advice is just to take each day as it comes and really look after yourself. Try and do what you can, read, watch things, spend time with people you love. I've tried to get out everyday for a little walk. I've worked a little bit too but only from home and work have been really supportive, although i am the manager. I needed to do something to calm the anxiety and it helped me.
Sending you hugs. I'll be here every day if you want to keep checking in.
You're right, it is cruel but I suppose they have to be sure, although there must be a better way. You will get through this x

I just had to go through this and overall it took 3 weeks as they weren't sure and asked me to come back again a week later before they confirmed miscarriage. The waiting I found so difficult and didn't know what to do with myself. Luckily my partner works from home so I just hung out with him or a friend if they were about. I also visited family. Basically I just distracted myself by being around other people.

Thank you so much for replying ladies, I’m sorry that you had to go through this. I know any miscarriage is traumatic but the waiting is particularly rough. I work in a particularly stressful area with families facing a lot of trauma themselves and can’t imagine going into work during this wait so may have to try and get GP to sign me off.

I’m bleeding lightly every day now with a couple of occasional bit of red blood but just wish by it would hurry up and sort itself out.

sending you all lots of love and hugs xx

@northernhomebird I feel exactly the same. Its like the never ending wait.
Definitely don't go to work, it sounds like it will be too much. Am sure your GP will sign you off without any fuss.

I seem to get a lot of pain at night and think something is going to happen but nothing substantial so far.

I've been staying with family but have to head back today and am feeling nervous about that. My partner and I split up when I found out I was pregnant. Far too much going on.

I hope you have a good day x

@UrsulaSings123 am so sorry, hope you are feeling better and stronger after your ordeal x
