Ovarian cyst found following miscarriage

Just wondered if anyone has had a similar problem? I have had a hell of a time to be honest, confirmed miscarriage in January, then had to go back for scans due to retained tissue.

Ive had 5 scans in total, on the 4th scan they picked up a 'simple ovarian cyst' just short of 5cm in size.

So surprised it hadn't been picked up earlier, do these cysts form quickly? Could it be due to my hormones being haywire?

Yes, they can form quite quickly, and up to 5cm they "self resolve" I found it very ouchy, but immediate relief when it burst.

I'm sorry your going through the mill, cysts are unfortunately fairly common, I didn't get any detail as to why mine formed, I was under a huge amount of stress which I don't think helped. Haven't had any recurrent issues since, hoping it's similar for you ❤️.
