Anti D / Rh Neg

I’ve just had this thought now. Loss in middle of Dec (9 weeks) haemorrhaged twice due to RPOC, I was never given an anti D injection? I’m now worried about what this means for future pregnancies?

@Friedseasalt sorry for your loss Hun. I am Rh negative and with my successful pregnancies I have had anti-d. You don't have it that early in the pregnancy. Also in the past 4-5 years they actually test if you are making antibodies against the baby and sometimes they don't even give you anti-d on the basis that if you are not making antibodies your body has accepted the 'foreign article'. All of my DC are Rh positive and I never once made an antibody. Might be worth checking if you needed the anti-d but if they tested for antibodies and you didn't have any they may have decided it wasn't needed. I had to press my midwives for this info so don't feel left out.
Look after yourself OP and try to do something today that makes you happy 😊

@nearly8 thank you. Maybe it was the case that it was too early then. I do remember having the injections with my toddler as I bled a lot during that pregnancy, they aren’t pleasant!

@Friedseasalt no they really aren't. I find them much nicer in the arm than in the bum as I had with my first DC. The worst for me was the one you have to go back for after being discharged. You finally get settled at home dealing with everything postpartum and then just to p!ss you off jab you again 😂
How are you feeling today? Are you still TTC?
