Lots or cramping days after miscarriage - is this normal?

I was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage last Thursday as the heartbeat had stopped.

I decided to wait naturally for it to go on its own.

Over the weekend, I had the faintest small amounts of spotting when wiping.

Monday evening approx 5-8pm, I passed some large ish clots and had some medium flow bleeding.

Following this, the bleeding has been very very light. However I am having lots of cramping still... intermittently.

Does this mean it isn't complete or it's normal??

I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

There’s no way to know for sure, as it can take a couple of weeks or it might already be complete. It varies. But, if you’re concerned or confused about what is going on, head to your drs. Mine was fantastic after my first miscarriage and also did a quick abdominal exam to make sure everything seemed OK. It was really reassuring at a time when I didn’t know what to expect.

Wishing you all the best 💐

I'm so sorry you've lost your baby. Having cramping pains means the miscarriage probably isn't complete.

You need a scan to check if you have retained products.

@MrsBlue1986 sorry for your loss it really isn't nice and I'm thinking of you. I think I read on another thread that another lady was having the same experience and after a scan she still had a few clots that needed to pass. I'd say go to EPU for a scan and ask them to check. If it is retained products then you could possibly need further intervention but I'm not exactly sure as with all 3 of mine everything passed naturally. Be kind to yourself 💐💐
