When can you have sex after miscarriage?

Had a miscarriage at 5+4 and wondering when it’s safe to have sex. The bleeding has completely stopped. It’s occasionally light pink on the tissue when I wipe but nothing other than that. Tests are also negative as of today.

My drive is really increased on what it was before. How long do I have to wait? I don’t want to be at risk of infection but also can’t see how it’s much different from having sex on a period at this early stage.

I think I remember being told to leave it 2 weeks due to increased risk of infection if cervix isn't fully shut

I was told until next period just to make dating easier

@Lea8 I viewed it the same as you and treated it as a period. It's unlikely you will be ovulating but I actually found comfort in being close with DH again. I've had 3 MC and didn't have any complications either during MC or after. Sorry for your loss, hope you are ok 💐💐
