No viable pregnancy but no bleed

I'm 6w5d pregnant. Had my 6 week scan yesterday sadly no viable pregnancy seen, saw nothing on the scan. I had a feeling as my clear blue never progressed from 2-3 weeks (although, yes, I know this isn't a perfect indicator) and my headaches stopped suddenly. HCG level is 300, super low considering I had positive tests since almost 3 weeks ago. Going back tomorrow for another blood test.
I find it weird I haven't started cramping or bleeding. My previous miscarriage I was bleeding and cramping before my scan so it was a little different. EPU nurses couldn't really answer many questions, I know they have to stay so vague but it's really unhelpful. I like facts and honesty.
Anyone had a similar situation, when did you start bleeding? Gosh I hope this doesn't take weeks and weeks. Thank you

So sorry you are in this situation. Almost exactly 12 months ago I started bleeding at around 8/40 but scan showed a loss of around 2 weeks earlier, so it can take a little time.
I had surgical management, found it much more preferable to the watchful waiting in previous mc but its a very personal thing

I'm sorry this is happening to you. I had a seven week scan just before Christmas that showed no viable pregnancy and my pregnancy symptoms had stopped a week and a half earlier. A few days later I passed everything, so it took a couple of weeks get going but once it started things progressed quite quickly. If you're worried about it taking a long time you can request medical intervention. Take care of yourself x

Thank you so much @Cariadxx @HighlyStrung1987 your messages are really going to help me sleep tonight. I needed some reassurance. Seems I just need to be patient and let my body do it's thing. I hate having the worry of an ectopic pregnancy over my head but hopefully my body is just taking its time and all will be okay! And I'm so so sorry you both went through this as well and I appreciate that you shared your stories xxx

I'm really glad that it helps hearing similar stories from other people. I was the same as you and couldn't see how I could have had a miscarriage a week and a half earlier without having anything to show for it and always assumed that cramping and bleeding would be the first proper sign I had that something was wrong. I was worried I'd be in limbo for weeks too, but my sister who's had a missed miscarriage before and had medical intervention to speed it up, told me how it all works if you go down that route and how amazing all the staff who cared for her were and it was really reassuring. This waiting bit feels absolutely awful I know, but you will come out the other side of everything soon and start to feel better I promise. I hope you get some decent sleep tonight xx

I had a missed miscarriage and never actually started bleeding. I had the surgical management probably about 4 weeks after the miscarriage was diagnosed and I still hadn't started bleeding by that point.

Hi,I'm in the same situation.
Started bleeding yesterday morning at almost 11 weeks and scan confirmed that baby stopped growing at 7 weeks 4 days. Had light bleeding but not passed anything. I can't believe that I couldn't have booked a procedure for today or tomorrow and I now have to wait for the worst all weekend until my MVA on Monday. It seems so unfair. I just want it to all end.

Hi OP
16 yrs ago I went for a 6 week scan after having pain. Was told it wasn't viable and wanted to book me for a d and c. I was too shocked to think straight. My mum handled it and said can we wait 2 weeks and have another scan. Dr said well yes but nothing will change.
2 weeks later everything was OK. Baby is now in year 10 doing his gcses.

I am so so sorry. It is devastating. I like to think it will all make sense when we have our rainbow baby and couldn't imagine life without them. Flowers

What an amazing story. It gives me hope for a miracle somehow. Thanks for sharing. I hope his exams go well!

Update: HCG went up but only by 16. To me this says ectopic but I've been told to wait 4 days for another blood test. 😩
