Vaginal cramps after ERPC. Is this normal?

I'm getting strong and extremely painful vaginal cramps. Is this typical? I had a MMC at almost 12 weeks,last Thursday, - though apparently I had lost the baby at 9 weeks, 3 days.

Actually I had the same cramps when I was pregnant as well, before the MMC could have happened... Does anyone know why this could be happening? I've not been doing acrobatics or anything, although I did try to go back to work today (and came home again a few hours later when I got cream crackered).

it doesn't sound anything out of the ordinary, tbh, especially if you had them whilst pregnant.

remember, even after ERPC, the hormones are still in a state of flux for a few weeks after.

you could phone the practice nurse tomorrow, but unless it's accompanied by unexpected bleeding - such as you stopped bleeding and are now bleeding again, or were having light bleeding and now heavy - temperature or malodorous smell, it sounds pretty normal.

i had ERCP for MMC in december - 11 weeks, baby died long before that - and it does take a bit for things to settle.

it really doesn't seem out of the ordinary so long as you don't have any unexpected bleeding, temp or ordour, just to ease your mind.

nothing wrong with taking paracetamol as long as you need it for this.

it's not abnormal to have cramps of all sorts for a couple of weeks after the ERPC.
