TTC after recurrent miscarriage

Hi,

i would really like to know other’s experiences of successful pregnancy after recurrent miscarriage and what was different. Did anyone take a break from trying to work on improving egg quality? Was a break helpful. I am contemplating whether to wait or not. Did anyone try IVF with PGT-A testing?

i have had 3 miscarriages in the last 7 months. I have had all the blood tests etc. tried progesterone in the second pregnancy. As this one was a missed miscarriage i had surgery and found out the baby had trisomy 21. Now assuming all the losses are due to chromosomal abnormalities due to egg quality.

I am 38 and have an almost 3 year old.

thank you x

Sorry for your losses. I had four miscarriages and now have a sleeping baby on me. In my case the miscarriages were from my body attacking the embryo so loads of drugs from a recurrent miscarriage clinic sorted that out for me. I had one loss tested and that came back as inconclusive.

Prior to that I did have pgta testing (as lots of failed ivf but turns out I had scar tissue preventing implantation). That does sound like the route to go down for you. Good luck!

Seven201 Sorry to be rude and but in here but may I ask what issue you had that made your body attack the embryo and what they gave you to sort the issue? Completely understand if you dont want to say, of course.

@Longbarn5 I had high activity of natural killer cells and a couple of other things I can't remember the name of. Not everyone believes in the natural killer cells stuff, but it's what finally worked for me. I had adimulumab injections, which I had to wait a couple of months before ttc again. Then I had steroids, intralipids injections, aspirin, progesterone, estrogen, steroids and hydroxychloroquine as part of my miscarriage prevention plan while ttc. I was under the CRP clinic and don't believe I'd have a baby without them. It took 6 years to conceive this baby. I do have a naturally conceived 7 1/2 year old and didn't have any mc before her.
